Amid the unprecedented attacks on our national parks, forests and other federal lands by the Trump Administration, Washington Senator Maria Cantwell has taken a leadership role in opposing these proposals. As the Ranking Member on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Senator Cantwell has asked the hard questions and pushed back on proposals to eliminate protections for old-growth forests, shrink the size of our national monuments, triple national park entry fees, and allow new road building in inventoried roadless areas.
Please take a minute to send a thank you to Senator Cantwell for leading the opposition to the attacks on our public lands. Our elected officials rarely hear positive feedback from their constituents and letting them know they did something right helps solidify their stance in the future!
